Personal Growth In Business – Are you like me?

At Boss Mom, we believe in the beautiful, often messy balance of nurturing your business, family, and personal growth. Today, we’re diving into the journey of Boss Mom—how it all started, the lessons learned along the way, and our big vision for the future. If you’re a mom with big dreams for both your family and your personal development, then get ready to find your tribe, your “village,” and let’s build it together.

Starting Boss Mom: A Leap of Faith

I launched Boss Mom almost a decade ago. My son was under two, and I was pregnant with my daughter. Everyone told me I was crazy for trying to start a business and write a book at the same time. But I felt an undeniable calling to connect with moms like me—women who didn’t want to choose between raising their kids and pursuing their dreams. The truth is, I had no idea what I was doing. I just showed up, went live (when live video was brand-new!), and kept moving forward. The biggest lesson I learned? Clarity comes from doing. Don’t wait until you have all the answers; start, show up, and figure things out along the way. Embracing the journey was one of my first steps toward true personal growth.

Personal Growth Through Business: It’s More Than Just Profit

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned over these years is that business isn’t just about profit—it’s about growth, resilience, and human connection. Yes, I learned how to build funnels and spot trends, but those skills come and go. The real transformation has been in understanding myself and others on a deeper level. Owning a business is a journey of personal growth, filled with wins and losses, realizations and breakthroughs. This journey teaches us about the core of what matters: human connection, self-awareness, and a supportive community.

Recognizing the Calling Within

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you feel a calling, something that keeps pulling you back even when others suggest an easier path. You may not know how to monetize it yet, or maybe you feel like you’ve spent so much time and money with “nothing to show for it.” Trust me, you’re not alone in that feeling. But before you give in to doubt, pause and look at all the ways you’ve grown. Ask yourself: how has starting this journey changed how you see the world and yourself? What self-discoveries have come from this experience?

Remember: Business is more than making money—it’s a journey of personal growth that will impact every area of your life.

The Roots of Boss Mom has Personal Growth as a Foundation

I often hear people say they’re “coming full circle,” and that’s where Boss Mom is today. We’re returning to the core of why Boss Mom started: to create a supportive, empowering space for moms. We’re bringing Boss Mom back to its roots as a safe place for every mom with a dream, whether it’s a side hustle, a full-time business, or even just the idea of starting something new.

The Boss Mom community is now bigger than me as a coach. It’s grown into something far more powerful—a media engine for all of you. This is about you, your stories, and building a space where we can lift each other up. It’s about creating a village, a haven for moms seeking connection, growth, and empowerment.

Creating Connection and Community for Personal Growth

Every mom deserves to have a business, no matter the size or type. A business can be transformative, not only for financial independence but also as a journey of personal growth. None of us can do it alone. We need people around us who understand the unique struggles and joys that come with being both a mom and an entrepreneur.

At Boss Mom, we’re building a village. This village will be a place where you can find guidance, connection, collaboration, and even a shoulder to lean on. Boss Mom isn’t just a business network. It’s a community where we support each other through every phase of personal and professional growth.

Self-Growth Through Business

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that many women, including myself, don’t realize how much personal growth is tied to starting a business. For me, I thought I was starting a business to make money and create financial freedom. But, looking back, it became clear that Boss Mom was born from a need to prioritize myself, to give myself permission for self-care and self-growth, while balancing the demands of family.

For so many women, a business isn’t just about making money; it’s about investing in ourselves. Starting a business often means facing the fears, self-doubt, and “not enoughness” that we all carry. And in that struggle, we grow. We learn more about who we are and what we’re capable of.

A Vision for Boss Mom’s Future: Building a Media Engine for Moms

Here’s where Boss Mom is heading: we’re not just a Facebook group or a coaching community. We’re transforming into a full media platform that serves as a resource for all moms in business and personal growth. Our new website and platform will feature your stories, highlight voices from our community, and build the foundation for a brand that advocates for moms. We want every mom who starts a business to know they have a safe place to learn, grow, and connect.

Boss Mom Plus, our new community, is a place where moms can find their village. You’ll have access to resources, collaboration opportunities, support, and so much more. My dream is that Boss Mom Plus becomes your one-stop resource for both personal growth and business success, supported by a collective of moms who truly understand.

We Are Stronger Together in Personal Growth

Moms, we are powerful. We have stories, strengths, and a resilience that the world often overlooks. And together, we can create something unstoppable. Boss Mom is here to empower each of you, not just to start or grow a business but to truly believe in the value of what you bring to the world. We’re building something big here, something that will change the way moms in business and personal growth are seen, heard, and valued.
