New BossMom Topics! We’re going there…
We are beyond excited to introduce you to a brand-new podcast segment where we’ll dive into all things motherhood, life & business, and the messy, beautiful overlap of both. These BossMom topics are like nothing we’ve ever talked about before…
This new segment is where we bring those real conversations we’ve been having behind the scenes straight to your big beautiful brain. These aren’t just the polished, surface-level talks we often see online, but the kind that are full of vulnerability, laughter, and the sometimes uncomfortable truths we all experience as mothers and entrepreneurs.
Sneak Peek of What’s Coming
We’ll be tackling a wide range of topics, and we can’t wait to dive in with you! From the joys and challenges of balancing a business with motherhood to the bigger societal pressures and personal beliefs that shape how we parent, exist as women and mothers, and run businesses.
Here’s a little preview of what’s coming:
1. Are Your Kids Really Your Purpose?
Dana’s take: “Your children are not your only purpose. If they are, you’re teaching them that their purpose will only come through having children, and that’s a cycle we don’t want to perpetuate.”
This one’s bound to stir some thoughts! We’ll be discussing why motherhood, while immensely fulfilling, doesn’t have to be the sole purpose in your life—and why that’s okay.
2. Motherhood vs. House Management: They’re Not the Same!
Society has confused motherhood with house management.
The division of work at home often gets blurred, but we’ll break down what moms really need from their partners and the support that matters most.
3. Running a Business While Grieving: Yes, It’s Possible
Grief is an inevitable part of life, and sometimes, it hits when you’re least prepared for it. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or struggling with personal challenges, we’ll explore how to manage your business during tough times.
Get ready for candid stories and moments of their motherhood and business that have had layers of grief involved.
4. Should Husbands Pay Wives for Meal Planning?
This topic came from a conversation Krista had with a follower who commented on one of her meal planning trainings, “Is your husband paying you for meal planning?” It sparked a powerful discussion around the value of unpaid labor in the home and how we, as moms, can navigate those tricky conversations about finances, contribution, and support.
Krista says, “Do I think my husband should pay me for meal planning? You’ll have to tune in to find out!”
5. The Inherent Wisdom of Our Children
As a Montessori-trained teacher, Krista brings a unique perspective to this topic: “Our children are born with inherent wisdom. They know things we don’t need to teach them—we just need to nurture their curiosity and guide them.”
We’ll talk about how this same wisdom applies to our businesses, and how we can relearn what we inherently know as entrepreneurs.
Why This Segment Matters to BossMom
At the core of this new segment is a shared belief that you can be a great mom and build a successful business. Dana sums it up perfectly, “Our businesses are not separate from our identities. They are part of who we are and what we bring to the table—not just for ourselves, but for our families.”
Expect to hear the unfiltered truth about the balancing act we all face, as well as the emotional and mental hurdles that come with it. We’ll dive deep into why these conversations are crucial for building not only a successful business but a fulfilling life as a mother.
Come Hang With Us!
We’ll be discussing everything from parenting truths to the societal expectations placed on moms—and how to push through it all to build a business that works for you. The messy middle of it all is where we shine. Krista and I don’t always agree, but that’s what makes these conversations so valuable.
