As a mom we have so much stuff getting thrown at us that we HAVE to learn how to deal with it. So many of us moms, me included, are such big people pleasing problem solvers.
Well, I have had enough.
Over the last year I've seen, and experienced social media make it harder and harder for us moms.

Even with a team and and established brand I have found it to be harder and harder to make enough content quick enough to grow my business.
Why?
Well, my kids are almost 9 and 11 and they're pretty cool.
I like hanging out with them more and I want to stop working earlier than I used to.
I'm about to turn 43 and I want to make sure I carve out time to work on being healthy and aging gracefully. (and figuring out what aging gracefully even means 😂)
I have a few things in my personal life that need my attention, and are important that I make time for.
And finally... I'm a human with hormones and emotions and sometimes I don't want to make content, or don't like how I look, or sound, or just feel uncreative, and uninspired.
I didn't start my business to be an influencer or content creator.
I started my business to impact people, feel smart & capable, and provide financially to my family
I didn't start my business to make me feel like I'm just not dedicated enough.
But I wanted to grow...and social media was the place to do it.
So I followed all of the rules and suggestions that social media (and all the experts) laid out for me. And to be honest I'm sick of following their rules.
The social media platforms don't care about us moms.
They don't care about us small business owners.
They don't care that their systems and algorithms are unsustainable for us moms, make us feel bad, and keep us from being successful.
They don't care because they don't have to.
I'm pissed off!
But not at them...at myself.
I should have stopped playing by their rules a long time ago.
I should have stood up a long time ago.
I was too tired then.
But I am standing up now.
