Boss Mom Spotlight – Kim Hancher
We want you to meet Kim Hancher
Kim Hancher is a Style Coach. She teaches women over 40 how to create their unique style and dress their body type so that they feel confident doing something you have to do every day, get dressed. After 27 years in Sales and Marketing, she decided to turn her lifelong fashion interest into a career and help others learn to love the way they dress. Kim conducts virtual or in person one-on-one sessions for various style needs such as closet editing, building a capsule wardrobe, or any customized service.
Kim resides in the San Francisco Bay area with her husband and twin daughters. She loves the color green, barre studio class, anything to do with healthy living (she’s also a certified Health Coach), vegetarian food, and a great purse.
Share a bit about your Boss Mom journey:
I was in a corporate setting for 27 years. I had a lot of success, but always felt a tug to do something different, I just ignored it. I had a series of health issues that made me decide to make a change once and for all. I’ve grown and learned so much. It’s never too late to do something that you love, I’m proof of that.
What makes you excited about becoming a Boss Mom of the Week?
The chance to help others feel good in their clothes. It’s easy to do, sometimes you just need to someone to show you how, I’m honored to be that someone.
One piece of advice for moms who are starting a business
Take one small step each day towards your goal. It does not have to be anything big, but those small steps all add up faster than you know.
Where do you go for inspiration?
To the bookstore or my favorite local boutique.
